Vocational Nursing
Carrington College’s Vocational Nursing program offers a path to becoming a nurse and pursuing a licensed vocational nurse credential. Coursework focuses on patient care across different clinical settings, the use of diagnostic and therapeutic nursing techniques, and critical thinking skills, while preparing students to take the Licensed Vocational Nurse Board Examination (NCLEX-PN)*. Earn your Vocational Nursing certificate in as few as 12 months, or a Vocational Nursing associate degree in as few as 15 months. Program availability varies by location.

Pharmacy Technology
An option for those who want to interact with the public but may not want to perform clinical tasks, Carrington College’s San Jose Pharmacy Technology program provides the comprehensive education to pursue a career as a pharmacy technician. A pharmacy technician may work in retail pharmacies or in-house pharmacies at medical facilities, among other settings. Complete your pharmacy technician training in as few as nine months.
Dental Assisting
Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures, passing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and making patients more comfortable during dental office visits. Our 48,800-square-foot San Jose college campus includes classrooms with ceiling‐mounted LCD projectors, a student success center equipped with reference materials, textbooks, and journals, a learning laboratory, and a dedicated computer laboratory.

The facilities also include a 24‐chair Dental Hygiene clinic, a six‐chair radiology lab, a four‐chair Dental Assisting lab, an eight‐bed Vocational Nursing lab, a professional Veterinary Technology surgery lab and Surgical Technology lab, and 20 lecture/laboratories.
