With classrooms and simulation labs equipped with up-to-date technology and a multimedia library, we provide a small-college experience where you get the attention you deserve. Carrington serves Boise and surrounding cities throughout the Treasure Valley, including Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Kuna, Caldwell, and Garden City.
Carrington College in Boise offers hands-on programs in Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technology, Dental Hygiene, Massage Therapy, Practical Nursing, and more, with opportunities for externships at local health care facilities.

Healthcare Programs Available at the Carrington College Boise Campus
Pharmacy Technology
Our Pharmacy Technology program is an option for those who want to interact with the public daily but may not want to perform clinical tasks. A pharmacy technician may work in a retail pharmacy or in an in-house pharmacy at a medical facility, among other settings (1). Complete your pharmacy technician training in as few as 9 months.
Dental Assisting
Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures, such as passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may also help make patients more comfortable during dental visits (2). Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography; dental sealants and procedures; and front-office duties and patient care. Earn your Dental Assisting Certificate in as few as 9 months.
Nursing Bridge Program
Nursing has many different levels, ranging from certificates to master’s degrees and PhDs, and returning to school to advance your degree is always an option. Our Boise Nursing Bridge program is designed for licensed vocational or licensed practical nurses seeking to earn an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and prepare to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).* This program can be completed in as few as 12 months.
Practical Nursing (LPN)
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are entry-level professionals who provide basic medical care under the direction of registered nurses and doctors (3). Our Practical Nursing program helps students build the knowledge and hands-on skills commonly used in entry-level nursing roles through a combination of classroom instruction, lab practice, and clinical experience. You can obtain a Practical Nursing certificate in as few as 12 months.
Medical Assisting
Medical assistants are a vital part of any healthcare office, completing administrative and clinical tasks in physicians’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities (4). Carrington College Boise’s Medical Assisting program teaches the clinical and administrative skills needed to support physicians and healthcare teams, including taking vitals, recording patient histories, and scheduling appointments. Earn your Medical Assisting Certificate in as few as 9 months.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy helps people relax, de-stress, or manage injuries through stretching and movement (5). Students in our Boise Massage Therapy program study anatomy and physiology; the terminology, function, and structure of the body’s muscular, skeletal, and internal systems; ethics; and business concerns. Earn a Certificate of Achievement in Massage Therapy in as few as 9 months.
Dental Hygiene
During routine office visits, a patient may spend the majority of their time with a dental hygienist. Dental hygienists remove plaque and tartar, polish teeth, and help train patients on good oral health (6). Students in the Carrington College Dental Hygiene program gain the skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care. Instruction helps students develop professional communication skills with patients, colleagues, and the public, as well as knowledge of ethical standards and professional behavior. Earn your Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in as few as 19 months.

What is Idaho LAUNCH?
Carrington College Boise Campus is a proud provider of Idaho LAUNCH. The Idaho LAUNCH grant program is designed to prepare Idaho’s students for the state’s workforce needs by providing financial assistance for education and training programs. Idaho LAUNCH offers grants that cover 80% of tuition and fees at eligible institutions, up to $8,000 per student. With approximately $75 million allocated to the program, it aims to offer between 9,000 and 10,000 awards per year.
Eligibility
- Graduate from an Idaho high school or equivalent
- Be an Idaho resident
- Be enrolled in or have applied to an in-demand career program at an eligible Idaho institution
- Begin enrollment by the Fall semester after graduation
- Complete a Career Pathway Plan or equivalent
- Review the approved list of eligible in-demand careers

Our 36,00-square-foot space provides a variety of valuable hands-on training in realistic settings. Students in our Dental Hygiene program learn in the Boise College campus’s dental clinic. There, students participate in providing complementary dental services to students and community members.
